Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Can we bring a pram and car seats on a private jet?
Yes. Prams, car seats, travel cots and toys can all come along, and the aircraft is chosen with enough hold space for everything your family packs. Whether a child car seat can be fitted to a passenger seat during the flight depends on the seat model and the aircraft operator’s rules, so share the make and model when you book. A full list of the family’s luggage, including sports gear, helps the advisor pick the right aircraft.
Can we fly with our dog or cat?
Yes, pet-friendly flights can be arranged: on a private jet, pets usually travel in the cabin with the family, subject to the aircraft operator’s approval. Entry rules depend on the destination and commonly include a microchip, a valid rabies vaccination and an official veterinary health certificate; some destinations also require a rabies antibody blood test taken weeks or months before travel. Start preparing early, and tell your advisor the pet’s size and breed when you request a quote.
What size of private jet does a family need?
Count suitcases as well as people. A family of four with holiday luggage can fly comfortably in a light or midsize jet on short routes such as Tel Aviv–Larnaca (about 45 minutes) or Tel Aviv–Athens (about 2 hours). For longer flights to Nice (about 3 h 45 min–4 h) or London (about 5–5 h 30 min), or a bigger group with grandparents or a nanny, a super midsize or large jet gives more headroom and space to move around. Times depend on aircraft, winds and routing.
How does a private jet make flying with young children easier?
The schedule follows the family: departure can be timed around naps and meals, and there is no waiting at a crowded gate. Children’s meals, favourite snacks and kosher or other special catering can be ordered in advance, the cabin is yours alone, and ground transport can be coordinated at both ends. Passport control and security checks still apply, but your advisor arranges your arrival time at the airport so the wait is kept short.
How much does a family private jet trip cost, and how can we save?
You pay for the aircraft, not per seat, so the more seats your family fills, the lower the cost per person. The price depends on aircraft category, flight time, positioning, airport fees and, crucially for families, the dates: school holidays are peak time on popular routes, so booking early helps. Families with flexible dates can also watch for empty legs. JETX.VIP will prepare a quote for your dates with no obligation.
